Hanover

Bagel Basement: Probably the best bagels this side of the Brooklyn Bridge. Every morning your sure to see a few classmates and professors grabbing their favorite bagel and cream cheese combo and gourmet coffee before heading to class. They also have great sandwiches and burritos.

Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream: Vermont's own in downtown Hanover. Keep an eye out for their annual free ice cream cone day each spring.

Brick and Brew: This is the Hanover branch of Ramunto's pizza in West Leb. Brick oven pizza available by the slice and beer on tap (hence the name).

Dirt Cowboy Cafe: Good gourmet coffees, fresh squeezed juices, a frozen yogurt sundae bar, and truly decadent desserts. Opens at 7:30 am, just in time to get a big coffee for class, and is open late at night. A good atmosphere for leisurely studying, if you like background noise.

Everything But Anchovies (E.B.A.'S): Good pizza as well as many other menu options, open until 2 a.m., fast free delivery of pizza and subs (not to Vermont).

Foodstop: Part of the gas station and video store on main street. Standard convenience store food open 24 hours.

Lou's: A Hanover tradition and a classic American coffee shop. Good espresso and pastries, a free sundae on your birthday. Breakfast at Lou's will surely put you in a good mood for the day (unless you get the hash)

Subway: The only brand name fast food in Hanover (due to zoning). Shares space with Ben and Jerry's, so you'll enter and the extremely unusual aroma of ice cream mixed with fresh bread.

Outside Hanover

West Lebanon: D'Angelo's, Denny's, Friendly's, Kentucky Fried Chicken with Taco Bell Express, McDonald's, BK, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, and TCBY. If your in the mood for a buffet, try the Lantern Buffet.
