Cover Home Repair
No skills required! All we ask for is enthusiasm and a desire to help. Our daylong projects are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays at different locations in the Upper Valley. Volunteer participants and tradesmen work homeowners to complete home repair projects. Come out for a day, meet new people, and make sure that all citizens have safe, warm and habitable homes. Sample home repair projects include: building wheelchair ramps, repairing leaky roofs, weatherization, and structural repair.

Home Repair Volunteers commit to one weekend day from 9AM to 5 PM.

LAYING DOWN ON THE JOB TO SAVE LIVES!
Where can you lay down for 15 minutes while at work, get free juice and cookies AND save up to two lives??? The DHMC Blood Donor Program of course!

Patients in our hospital rely on the selfless generosity of volunteer blood and platelet donors like YOU! The DHMC Blood Donor Program needs to collect an average of 35 pints of red blood cells every day to meet our patients' needs. Because there is no substitute for human blood, we are depending on YOU to fulfill our life-saving mission. Please donate blood or platelets TODAY!

Not sure if you can donate? Generally speaking, if you...

  • Are between 17-75 years old
  • Weigh at least 110 pounds
  • Are feeling well and healthy today
  • Have not received a tattoo or body piercing in the last 12 months

... chances are you can be a DHMC blood donor! (There are some travel and medical restrictions, so please call us for specific questions.)

We are conveniently located on Level 2 of the Doctor's Office Building. Our friendly and professional team will greet you with a smile and guide you through the process as you come to give the greatest gift of all, the gift of life! And after donation, be sure to enjoy the snacks and beverages offered in the inviting canteen area.

We have hours to fit nearly any schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 7AM-4:30PM
Thursday: 7AM-6PM
Friday: 7AM-2:30PM

Make life-saving a habit... give the gift of life TODAY!

To schedule your life-saving appointment, please contact Sue at 603-653-3775 (toll free 866-40-DONOR) or DHMC.Blood.Program@hitchcock.org.
