Head Start

There are many opportunities for students to work with pre-school aged children through the Head Start program. Woodsville and Lebanon are center base programs that have children at the programs 4 days a week Tuesday-Friday. The volunteer programs for medical students are as follows: health screenings in the first 45 days of school (include height, weight, eye screening, hearing and blood pressure); conduct twice monthly gross motor activities/cooperative games to promote our I'M Moving program; lead healthy eating/nutrition activities. This is a great option for students to work with younger children in an educational manner.
