Adult Residency - Research Track

Our psychiatry residency training program has developed a Research Track as outlined herein. The purpose of the Track is to facilitate development of a career as a scientist devoted to testing hypotheses relevant to mental health and the treatment of mental disorders, whether from basic science, clinical or mental health care systems perspectives.

Our faculty include federally funded investigators in each of these domains. They all as well have impressive track records in mentoring junior investigators. They are very interested in providing such training for interested and qualified psychiatry resident in our program.

Inspection of the spreadsheet below will show progressively increased involvement in research over the four years of psychiatry residency. There are as well several post-residency specialty fellowships available in which one could continue her or his research program. These include neuropsychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, sleep medicine, addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and outcomes-oriented public sector psychiatry. We are developing as well a fellowship in neuropsychopharmacology.
