OUTPATIENT PSYCHIATRIST - COLCHESTER, VERMONT VA CLINIC
White River Junction VA Medical Center and Dartmouth Medical School. The White River Junction VA Medical Center, White River Junction, Vermont and the Department of Psychiatry of Dartmouth Medical School are seeking a COMMUNITY-BASED OUTPATIENT PSYCHIATRIST for a VA community clinic in near Burlington, Vermont.
The White River Junction VA Medical Center, a core component of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, serves over 24,000 patients at its main facility in White River Junction, Vermont and four community based outpatient clinics in Vermont and New Hampshire. This VA is a tightly affiliated academic department which successfully serves the core VA missions of Clinical Care, Education, Research and support of Emergency Preparedness.
The successful candidate will provide services in the VA's community based outpatient clinic in Colchester, Vermont. This integrated mental health/primary care clinic is affiliated with both Dartmouth Medical School and the University of Vermont and is one of the core community-based sites for third year Dartmouth residents training in outpatient care. This psychiatrist will work closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes specialized PTSD and substance abuse treatment services in addition to an integrated Mental Health/Primary Care program. Research opportunities are available and encouraged.
