Current InitiativesEndowment for Health Funds New Hampshire Telehealth Program PlanningThe Endowment for Health funded a project that will address the need to establish a blueprint and lay the groundwork for implementation of a telehealth network in New Hampshire. Although New Hampshire enjoys a high ranking on health status indicators when compared to other states, disparities persist. Telehealth is an efficient and effective means of delivering a broad spectrum of health services to medically underserved rural communities, and also holds promise for pockets of population in urban areas having less access to health care services. The grant is funding project staff and consultants to work with stakeholders throughout the state, including a Planning/Steering Committee, to prepare for implementation, to further characterize the demographics and health status indicators in the state and to audit the existing resources that can be integrated into a telehealth network.
