  • Kosovo visitors for perinatal training: The Dartmouth-Kosovo Alliance for Healthy Newborns is hosting five physicians March 23-April 6 from the University Clinical Center of Kosovo in Pristina, who are working with George Little, peds and ob/gyn, and Bill Young, ob/gyn.   • Madeline Dalton, peds and c&fm, will deliver the commencement address at her alma mata, Alfred U, where she will also receive an honorary degree during the commencement exercises May 12.
  • Robert Racusin, psych and peds, and Heather Blunt, biomed lib, presented a workshop, "Creating a Participatory Evidence-Based Journal Club," at the annual meeting of the American Assoc. of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training on Mar. 9.
  • Gregory J. Tsongalis, path, was selected to serve on the CALGB Pathology Committee.

Lucile Smith Biochemistry Awards, presented by the department for scientific scholarship and community service are: Martina Ding, postdoctoral fellow with Bernard Trumpower, for the publication, "Investigating the Qn site of the Cytochrome BC1 complex in Saccharomyces cerevisiae with mutants resistant to ilicicolin H, a novel Qn site inhibitor" (J. Biol. Chemistry 281, 36036-36043 2006), and Youngsoo Jun, student with Bill Wickner, for the publication "Reversible, cooperative reactions of yeast vacuole docking" (EMBO Journal 25, 5260-5269 2006).
