Dartmouth Medical School invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant or beginning-level Associate Professor of Physiology, with a joint appointment in the Department of Microbiology/Immunology. Physiology faculty members have established research programs in areas broadly defined as immunology, neuroscience, endocrinology, respiratory, cardiovascular and renal physiology. The Immunology Program is comprised of 38 highly interactive faculty members from eight departments who participate in NIH funded Training Grants, Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBREs), an NCI designated comprehensive Cancer Center and a Center for Immunotherapy.

Individuals using innovative molecular, genetic and cellular approaches to study immune and inflammatory mechanisms in any area of physiology are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree, demonstrated excellence in research, the potential for securing and sustaining independent and collaborative extramural funding, and a commitment to teaching in the medical and graduate school curricula.
