Diabetes Wellness Group
Come rediscover the motivation and energy needed to live well with diabetes. This evidence based, 12-week, psychotherapy group seeks to help individuals with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes live psychologically and physically healthy lives. Among a small supportive group, you will learn cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to:
- Reduce the stress, anxiety, anger and depression that often accompany diabetes
- Improve diet and exercising behaviors
- Improve blood glucose monitoring and treatment adherence
- Enhance problem solving skills
Healthy coping is vital and can help improve glycemic control, reducing the chance of dangerous diabetic complications. Groups are offered in the evening and at an affordable rate.
