Kristin Harrington
Research Assistant
Kristin received her BS in Biology from Southampton College in 2001 and her MS in Cell Biology from University of Connecticut in 2005. Currently, she is keeping the lab in good running shape and working on the role of MLL in several kinds of hematopoietic cells. In her spare time she enjoys crafting and spending time with her husband and dogs in rural NH.

Erika Artinger
Graduate Student
Erika is originally from Newbury Park, California and obtained her B.S. in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA in 2005. Erika's current lab interests include cell proliferation, gene expression, and issuing menacing threats to other students/personnel that look like they might carry RNase contamination. She spends most of her time staring at cells slowly dividing in 96 well plates and baking cheesecakes—but usually not at the same time. Erika recently was awarded the "Lady Tata Memorial Trust International Award for Research in Leukemia."

Tao Gan
Graduate Student
Tao is from Ganzhou, a beautiful town in China. She studied biotechnology from 2003 to 2007 at Sun Yat-sen University and received her B.S. degree there. Currently, she is interested in the role of MLL during lymphocyte commitment. In her free time, Tao is crazy about all kinds of animation movies, and always tries to convince her friends that watching cartoons makes people younger!

Bin Li
Graduate Student
Bin is from Shandong, China. He received his B.Eng. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2002. Consequently he became interested in Biomedical Sciences and obtained his M.Sc. (Bioinformatics) from National University of Singapore. Having stayed in Singapore for 9 years, he has decided to purse a PhD in Genetics. He is now focusing on Mll interacting proteins and their role in controlling hematopoietic stem cell functions. Meanwhile, he can't stop craving for delicious chili crabs from Singapore.

Bibhu Mishra
Postdoctoral Fellow
Bibhu is originally from an eastern Indian state called Orissa. He finished his M.Tech in biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He then received his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, The University of Texas at Arlington. There he worked with Dr. Mandal. He is now interested in the role of MLL and its interacting proteins in hematopoietic stem cell function. At this moment he is enjoying his stay in pristine Hanover in NH. Bibhu is the proud recipient of a Lady Tata Memorial Trust Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Yufei Chen
Graduate Student
Yufei is originally from Chongqing, China and she graduated from Peking University in 2009 with a BS in Biological Science. Currently she is focusing on the role of MLL in maintaining leukemia stem cells. Her other interests include training to become the first Formula One driver under 100lbs and making spicy food, but not at the same time.

Yoo Jung ("YJ") Kim
Dartmouth '14
Yoo Jung is originally from South Korea; she moved to the United States in 1999. She wants to major in the humanities yet hopes to pursue molecular science in her post-graduate education. She is currently flexing her tissue culture skills!

Nani
Lab guard dog
I was born Jan. 18, 2006 and was raised in the lab. I'm an Akita from Nakodo Akitas in New Hampshire. Mako is my real owner, but I like to hang out in Patricia's office. I keep various people from stealing restriction enzymes from the lab, bark at bad sales reps. and wag at the nice ones. I enjoy hanging out with grad students and I love to chase the red dot that comes out of the pointer.
