Morbidity and Mortality

Jonathan M. Ross, MD, FACP, is Associate Professor of Medicine and of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School. Dr Ross is the Director of the M&M conference held every Wednesday during the lunch hour.

Medical education and the practice of general medicine are his two major priorities. "Our academic medical center emphasizes teaching and patient care as well as basic and clinical research. No one argues that the search for new knowledge is a major goal of today's medical center. Equally desirable is being the best teaching institution possible, and delivering medical care that is patient-centered, humane, and scientifically based." Dr. Ross has been at Dartmouth for 19 years, during which time he has had many roles: Residency Program Director in Internal Medicine (1988-91), Governor of the New Hampshire Chapter of the American College of Physicians (1994-7), and Director of the Department of Medicine's M&M Conference (1986-2002 and still going!).
