[edit] How can we keep everyone in the loop without overloading their inbox?
Hi there, I am a Microsystems Coach at Maine Medical Center (MMC) in Portland, ME. In November of 2008, we began the clinical microsystems journey with 10 teams under the direction of Margie Godfrey and three other Dartmouth coaches.
We MMC coaches have been learning as we go, and I am finding this to be a challenging and rewarding experience!
In addition to coaching a microsystem team, I am providing project support for the entire MMC effort. One of our interesting challenges is finding a way to communicate to all of the teams, leaders and coaches (approx 150 people).
I am currently in the process of developing a site at Google Sites. The intent is to have central location to share ideas, allow community discussion, and provide information to all involved. I'm looking for creative ways to get our folks to go to the site on a regular basis. We've thought of sending emails out every time that we post a new item on the site, but we don't want to fill up users' mailboxes.
Have any of you developed something like this for your organization? What has worked and what hasn't worked? Any other ideas for keeping everyone in the loop?
Thanks! Valerie
Hi Valerie, I appreciate your taking the "leap"to try to engage colleagues in discussions here about clinical microsystems. Thank you! Margie
