In addition to the CHC, family medicine patient care is delivered at local nursing homes and a continuing care retirement community. With the "aging" of the local and national population, the Family Practice section of the Department has branched out into the area of geriatrics. Dr. Chris Allen is the Medical Director of Kendal at Hanover, the continuing care retirement community. He works as part of a comprehensive geriatric team which includes another geriatrician, Julie Fago, and two geriatric nurse practioners. Kendal at Hanover is ranked at one of the top Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) in the U.S. and has a comprehensive range of services from outpatient and preventative services through rehabilitation services.
