Graduate Alumni The Biochemistry Department admitted its first class of graduate students in academic year 1974-1975. In June 2000, at the 25th commencement since its inception, the Biochemistry Graduate Program graduated its 100th PhD recipient. In April of 2001, the Dartmouth College Board of Trustees approved petitions by the Departments of Genetics and of Microbiology and Immunology to establish their own departmental graduate programs. This means that students who completed their PhD research in laboratories whose faculty were members of the Departments of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, and Genetics were members of the Biochemistry Graduate Program and received their graduate degrees in Biochemistry through Commencement 2001. Beginning July, 2001, students in Genetics and in Microbiology and Immunology laboratories are listed as members of their own departmental graduate programs and are awarded degrees in their specific fields. Graduate Alumni - This link is a work-in-progress. It will soon contain a directory of Biochemistry graduate program alumni and where they are, if we know it. Please email Kathie Savage if you have information about the current whereabouts of any Biochem alumni and any news about him/her/them or yourself. We're reviving the traditional department newsletter through this site. |
