Overview

The Biochemistry Department is one of fourteen departments of Dartmouth Medical School. The Department has a Graduate Program and grants Ph.D. degrees through the School of Arts & Sciences of Dartmouth College. Biochemistry faculties are involved in teaching medical students and graduate students.

The Department strives for excellence in research and in education. There are more than 20 postdoctoral research associates/visiting scientists, more than 30 graduate students working toward their doctorate. In addition, 24 new graduate students have recently entered the Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) Graduate Program in September 2006. There are also a handful undergraduate research participants working at various capacities.
