Research The DMS Department of Anatomy strives to improve the efficiency with which its students learn clinically important information. To this end, Department faculty members expend considerable effort in developing and testing innovative electronic learning aids. An example of this work can be found at http://www.dartmouth.edu/~anatomy. Dartmouth also collaborates with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the development and evaluation of innovative learning aids for students of human anatomy. Drs. McDaniel and Fabricant serve as Advisory Board members for the FIPSE-funded project based there ("Web-Based Instruction in the Anatomical Sciences for Students in the Health Professions"), and Sarah Horton, M.A.L.S. (Multimedia Applications Specialist, DC Computing Services) provides significant technical advice. Materials developed by this team will be tested and evaluated by DMS students beginning in academic year 2002-3. | |
