DMS Alumni Council Committees

Executive Committee
Focus: To carry out the purposes of the Council and, on behalf of the Council, to implement policies and procedures required to do so.

Nominating Committee
Focus: To make nominations to the Council, to serve as a resource to the Dean and to provide the Dean with suggestions for alumni nominations to the Board of Overseers.

Student Life Committee
Focus: Quality of student life, student electives, student government, minority affairs, women in medicine.

Communications Committee
Focus: Promote Council and alumni as a resource (speakers, advisors, etc.) to administration, school, and student body, enhance Council and alumni involvement in faculty and administrative searches, and advance Council and alumni vision in Development activities.

Fund for DMS Committee
Focus: Re-establish the Class Agent structure, work with reunion classes, support phone-a-thon activities, encourage individual class participation.

Alumni Affairs Committee
Focus: CME for alumni, alumni conferences, reunions, women in medicine, minority affairs.

Mentoring and Advising
Focus: Program development and evaluation.

World Health Committee
Focus: Opportunities for volunteers interested in world health.
