Non-Credit Electives

During year one and year two, students have the option of taking an elective course each term (fall and winter), in addition to their required coursework. The average elective course includes approximatley 12-18 hours of instruction, project work, or clinical observation. Students do not receive graduation credit for these courses. However, once a course has been completed successfully, and the course director has confirmed that completion, a "NRC" (non-required course) notation is added to the student's transcript. Students interested in finding more information about non-credit Enrichment Electives should contact Kalindi Trietley, Director of Learning and Disabiltiy Services, at (603) 650-6535. There is also information posted on Blackboard under Organizations>DMS Enrichment Electives. Students may have no more than one elective mentioned on their transcripts per term.
